Our organization opposes the Taxpayer Bill of Rights or TABOR II.

TABOR II is strict legislation that proposes to limit increases in state and local spending to a formula of inflation + population change. This formula does not allow government spending to keep pace with growth in the economy and results in the under-funding of public services such as secondary and higher education, health care, emergency services, and infrastructure repairs.

By signing this endorsement, we agree to help defeat TABOR II and protect the values that Maine people hold dear.  We also agree that our name may be used as part of Citizens Unified for Maine’s Future coalition on public materials and be listed as an organization opposed to TABOR II on the Citizens Unified for Maine’s Future website (you will not be listed as a PAC member).
